Cold Spring almost over!

Well, it certainly hasn't been the warmest Spring I've ever experienced:-/. Here it is June 12th and I think I can count on one hand how many times the temps have breached 20 degrees Celsius (and I think 23 is the warmest!). Crazy. Hopefully we have a stretch of nice weather coming up soon, Adam is just dying for us to put up the pool! We will see when that becomes something that makes any sense!

It's been a busy few weeks as we approach the end of the school year. Lynsey, Nathan and I went to Stars on Ice on Memorial Day weekend, it was a really fun show! Went on a bit long so we skipped out a bit early, but it was a fun outing for sure. I wished it was Canadian figure skaters, but what can you do when you choose to live in America lol! All the kids are growing like crazy, Adam is 5'5.5", and Lynsey just grew another half inch to get to 5'9" - she has officially caught up to me! She is finishing the school year strong, trying really hard to pull up some B's to A's and we are so proud of her efforts. I'm so glad we don't have to put any pressure on her, she has a healthy desire to do well that doesn't go too far.

Brian took a trip to Dallas with Andy to visit their friend Motti the week after Memorial Day, so I was on my own with the kids. That does not mean what it used to! Adam did great with it, and except for a few scheduling things where it would have been nice if I could be in two places at once, it was a pretty easy week. Nathan had his end of year Carnival that Friday that Brian was gone (the 3rd) and Lynsey and I had volleyball games at the Boys and Girls club. Thankfully Elli could babysit Adam and Nathan went to the carnival with a friend - it all worked out! The volleyball games were a lot of fun! I'm a bit relieved the season is over but it was a lot of fun - they were a great group!

Another thing I did on Friday the 3rd was pick Adam up from school early and take him over to Horace Mann to see his old teachers. I wasn't sure how it would go but he loved it! He was definitely a bit unsure of himself, but he settled in and the staff was so happy to see him <3. Really glad I did it!

The Oilers playoff run came to an end last week, sigh. It was so much fun while it lasted, and now that some time has passed since the disappointing end, I am able to appreciate the fun we had while it was happening a bit more:-). Conference Finals is not something to take for granted! Good times, glad we got to experience it!

One more week of school left! We can make it everyone! Looking forward to summer, but it will be a bit busy with everything we have planned. I still haven't talked to the new volleyball coach at RHS so I'm not sure if I will be involved with coaching at all. I might drop in on one of their summer practices next week and chat with her, see where she is at.
