August has been pretty low key for our family. No big trips anywhere, just hanging out at home and getting caught up on some house projects. Brian and I went to a Chateau Ste Michelle concert this past Thursday (the only photo worthy event in August according to our sparse camera rolls!). It was Pat Benatar with Berlin opening, it was a fun evening! I did find it amusing that Pat didn't play arguably her biggest hit (Hit Me With Your Best Shot, how do you not play that??) but she did play my favorite (We Belong) so I was happy:-).
Summer is rolling along and it's just over two weeks before school starts again. Lynsey has been playing volleyball at school getting ready for the season, tryouts are in just over a week. I'm looking forward to the school season, I hope Lynsey enjoys her last season - finally on Varsity! It's been a journey to get there, I'm proud of her for sticking with it and steadily improving to earn herself a space on Varsity. Technically she still has to try out but we are pretty sure it's a lock at this point.
Not much else going on! Hopefully we can enjoy the last few weeks of summer and then it will be time to get back to the grind of another school year!
