In the Finals again! And Lynsey's Prom!

So much to be excited about! Let's start with last weekend with my team's last tournament. Sunday they played better than I have seen them play all season, they just clicked so well as a team. It's such a gratifying thing to watch as a coach, beating a team that we could only beat if we played our very best...great outcome for our team:-). We lost our first game of bracket play on Monday but I was still really proud of our finish. Tuesday was our last practice, hard to believe the season is over! I gave them all personalized bracelets as mementos of the season and got pizza for everyone, great last practice.

The Oilers finished the Stars on Thursday which was super exciting! This run has been so much less stressful than last run because of how quickly they are dispatching of these teams! Giving me this immense amount of hope that finally - after all these years we can finally say - THIS IS THE YEAR! Here's hoping!

Adam and I went to visit Brian at his new office for lunch the Friday before Memorial Day because it was a half day of school. Reminded me of the Facebook days! It's so much more peaceful going in to Brian's office than it used to be, hard to even imagine those days of trying to visit when the kids were like 9, 7 and 5.

On Friday our team had their year end party at Perrigo Park. We had a great turnout and the weather was perfect. Nice official end to the season! I'm going to miss the girls but I'm ready for a break for sure.

Yesterday was Lynsey's prom! She got her hair done at the hair dresser which was a nice treat, it turned out really nice. She looked beautiful! They took pictures at Discovery Park in Seattle (not sure why they chose that park, if I'm going all the way to Seattle I would much rather go to Gas Works Park but Lynsey had no part in planning). After pictures the group got on a bus that took them around Seattle for a bit and then brought them to a German restaurant for dinner. Sounds like it was a fun experience, I'm glad she decided to go. It's not like she will have another chance to go to Senior Prom!
