Adam has been teething like crazy in the last week or so! He has been sleeping through the night for months, even through some teething, but Saturday night was a different story. He was pretty much awake from 12:30 until 4:30am. It was awful. The next night was a bit better, but he still cried quite often. He finally slept through again last night which was a huge relief. He did cut a few teeth for all our pain, though - the one beside his top right tooth, and the one beside his bottom left. So he now has 6 teeth total. I am a bit discouraged to think of how many he still has to go, but I can only hope he will handle the pain better and better as he gets older!
Adam can stand indefinitely as long as he doesn't realize that he's doing it. As soon as he notices that he's standing, he starts wailing in complete despair. If he's trying to get to me, he can actually turn the direction that he's walking and come to me - in his desperation to get to me, he can actually walk quite well! However, I still don't say he's walking because the situation has to be so specific and he really just doesn't have the confidence yet to do it on his own willingly. He has, however, started cruising around furniture with a lot more confidence, so I know that's a big step towards walking! He is exploring with a bit of independence this way, which he's loving. The other day he started pulling books off the shelf in the living room - one after another, until they were all on the floor. I have also noticed how much he likes making loud noises - banging the pots in Lynsey's kitchen repeatedly. I have gotten a bit of a glimpse of what could be ahead for us! Oh and his hair is getting curly!! After a bath, the back of his head is full of tight little curls! I love it:).
We are going to Canmore tomorrow to hang out with Brian's parents for a few days. Here's hoping the teething comes to a halt (for their sake, since we're sharing a two bedroom condo!) and that we can get some relaxing in!
