Last one! We got back home on Wednesday the 13th, and the movers came on Friday the 15th. We were busy busy getting ready! Moving day went pretty well, Jaqui took Nathan and Lynsey away for the day so they were out of my hair, and Adam was at preschool. Our movers were really great - they were done in much less time than last summer! Kristy came over and helped me unpack my kitchen, so amazing! We worked hard for the next several days unpacking and getting ready for Brian's parents coming to visit. They came last Thursday. There is something about moving that is just completely and utterly exhausting. Wow. We were definitely ready for our little weekend getaway to the cabin near Cle Elum! The kids had a lot of fun, spent a lot of time in the hot tub. There was a beautiful lake beach close by, but it was a bit windy while we were there unfortunately. We were there for a little while but we were mostly relaxing at the cabin. Brian's parents helped us get settled in the house, hanging some pictures, fixing a few things here and there. I will be ready to post pictures hopefully soon, but the house isn't quite ready for pictures yet! Brian has to put the TV up and then it will be ready:).
The kids have handled the move really well so far. Adam has been pretty laid back about it, with a few exceptions here and there. We had his parent/teacher conference today and it wasn't terribly encouraging. He hasn't made a lot of huge improvements in the last year. He seems to have plateaued a bit. We have been thinking that it's time to move him out of RSA for a while now, I am pretty sure that will happen this year. I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before just yanking him out, there is much research to be done about what could be a better choice for him right now. Really hoping public school will work because this is the simplest solution for sure! We will see what happens.
Okay that is enough blogging for now! Next time I will blog more about the kids and how they are doing individually instead of just listing off everything that we've been doing, I was just too far behind this time.
