There's been a lot going on the last few weeks! Adam ended up being really sick - like he had a real flu bug:-(. He was down and out really for the last two weeks, this weekend he has perked up a bit and was pretty close to his usual self today. He still has some dark circles under his eyes but I think those will go away soon. I was starting to get a bit worried and wondered if we should take him to the doctor, but thankfully he turned a corner this weekend. He did go to school a bit this week but it was tough for him, looking forward to him getting back to routine!
Last Friday I was a driver for a volleyball team bonding event, all the teams went to UW to watch a volleyball game. It was a fun evening! UW lost but it was fun to watch some good volleyball. On Sunday, Brian and I went to Phillip and Yelena's "pre-wedding wedding", or whatever you want to call it! There were getting officially married at their church and had a small reception afterwards at a golf course in Newcastle. It was a lovely venue with very nice views. This past week there was more volleyball and Nathan's basketball to keep us busy, and Brian was very busy working in the garage getting ready for the drywallers to come in on Saturday. It was a big push, but he did it! The drywallers came in yesterday and got the boards up, as well as a coat of mud. So fun to see the project coming to a close! Can't wait!
Another big thing that happened yesterday - Homecoming! Lynsey and I went over to Arabella's at 1:30 and started curling her hair and doing her makeup to get ready for the big dance. We met up with a group of friends at around 3:30 at Farrell McWhirter park and took some pictures, so happy the rain held out for us! We got some great shots! We headed over to Bellevue after and got some pictures inside the W Hotel and Lincoln Square by the waterfall. I then took Lynsey back to Redmond to meet up with her Homecoming date, Ben, at Sages restaurant. She was pretty nervous for her first date but it seemed like they were pretty comfortable with each other which was good! I picked her up after the dinner (he drove himself but hadn't had his license long enough to be able to drive her) and they actually both came over to our place for a bit before the dance started. He seems like a nice guy, I don't know if they will be more than friends but I'm happy she experienced her first date and it was with a nice guy. I thought I would be more emotional about her reaching this milestone, but I actually wasn't. She is almost 16, I can't avoid this forever!
