He's Back! Game 7 tonight! Yikes!

And just like that, Brian is back from Australia! I picked him up from the airport this morning. Truthfully it didn't feel like it was just like that, it was a long trip but everything went fairly well while he was gone. The kids did fine, Adam has gotten so much better at understanding what is happening. He was very happy to see Brian today though! Brian had a fabulous trip and I am going to try and do a separate post with his pictures, although getting any kind of commentary for them is going to be a bit difficult :-/. I'll do my best, so stay tuned!

Lynsey and I did the Mother/Daughter volleyball tournament on Mother's Day Sunday which was a fun experience. Much more difficult than I was admittedly prepared for! Two person volleyball in NOT the same as indoor lol! I did a lot of running and often with the result of a not very well played ball at the end of it. I can see how you would get better at it but it is a different game. We ended up winning some and losing some. The rest of the day wasn't the best, the Oilers ended up losing which is always a good day ruiner for me. It was a bit disappointing to have Mother's Day come and go without really any fan fare, but I did also know it was likely going to be like that with Brian in Australia.

Last week went by without a lot of excitement, every day things. Didn't go to volleyball so was home a lot, watched a lot of hockey. Good days and bad days. I met up with Jaqui for coffee on Saturday which was fun - it had been too long! Watched game 6 in the evening, do or die for the Oilers, and it so happens that they DID! As mentioned in the title, that means that tonight is another do or die and I am so nervous I don't even know. And I'm going to volleyball practice tonight so I can only watch the first period. I am going to be so ridiculously distracted. I actually think it's kind of good that I'm not watching, as I have NOT been enjoying watching the close games at all and I know this one will be close.

Yesterday was the Northwest Juniors year end barbeque so Lynsey, Adam and I went to that. It went well, the weather was good so Adam was happy enough sprinkling sand on the courts. It feels like volleyball should be over for the year and yet we have this whole three day tournament coming up this weekend. I sort of wish it was over but I am hoping the tournament will be fun and a nice end to the season.

Did I mention how nervous I am? To think that in likely 4 hours this series will be over and I will either be totally elated or immensely sad and disappointed. I guess we will see! Go Oilers!
