Merry Christmas!

Well, Christmas is coming to a close for the Kroeker family. The last week or so have been filled with presents and dinners and family and friends and it's been good. Last Wednesday night we had a Christmas dinner with our small group, and on Thursday my friends Larissa and Coraleah came over and we did a gift exchange. Lynsey got a doll and a Cars ramp, both of which she really likes:). On Friday, we were off to Edmonton for Brian's family's Christmas and my southern Alberta family Christmas. It was a great weekend - and the baby didn't come, so that was good! I really didn't want to give birth in Edmonton, because that would mean my midwives wouldn't be able to be there. Anyway, we had a great time up there. We drove out to Water Valley to Brian's aunt and uncle's place for the Penner Christmas gathering on Tuesday. We had another fun day, and then we were off home, where we will now stay until the baby comes. Mike has been here for a few days and Brian's parents came today to have some Christmas dinner with us, so we haven't been alone which is nice. I don't mind being home on Christmas Day for a change - it's been sort of nice and relaxing. I'm sorry we won't be in La Crete for the gathering tomorrow, but it's only for this year.

No real update on the baby coming. I've had a ton of false labour, especially over the last 4 or 5 days, so we'll see if it leads to anything. I was thinking it would be really soon, but now I'm not so sure anymore. I'm hoping for next week, before New Years so I don't have to try and line up a babysitter on New Year's Eve! That's not the only reason - I am starting to be ready to not be pregnant anymore. I've actually been sleeping fairly well and felt pretty mobile up until the last few days, but last night I didn't sleep great and my back is really starting to feel it (doesn't help that it's been a week since my last Chiro adjustment) so I am ready to not be pregnant.

On the Lynsey front, nothing drastically new. She is becoming much more expressive all the time, exclaiming things with much emotion and quite loudly at times. She used to wake up in the morning and talk quietly to herself, now she is quite often yelling for some reason. She seems to have discovered the volume switch! It is quite interesting to hear her little exclamations:). She is making our life very interesting, that's for sure!
