What is new with us - I will be 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and I feel like my body is really getting ready to go into labour. I have been a bit concerned that I would go early and we're going to Edmonton this weekend, so hopefully he waits at least until mid-week next week! I don't know why I feel like this exactly, and with my luck, I'll go overdue because I think I'll be early - isn't that the way it works? Anyway, so far everything is still going good, and I'm actually still sleeping reasonably well so that is a plus. I've been nesting like crazy - you know when I can't leave the kitchen without it being spotless that there is something out of the ordinary going on! I am hoping for a New Year's baby - that gives me the week after Christmas to get some meals in the freezer and do any last minute prep I want to do with Brian home, and still have the baby come early and maybe even get some presents for having the first baby of 2010:). We'll see what happens!
Lynsey is amazing. Every parent in the world thinks their kid is the smartest, sweetest thing, and I am no different! She uses such complex sentences already - I can't believe some of the things she has picked up. It makes life so much easier now that I can talk to her on such a high level - I actually have to remind myself that she still doesn't understand a lot of the things I'm telling her, even though her speech has come so far. She is still a two year old, often ignoring me when I tell her to stop doing something and then running away from me - this is extremely frustrating for me in my condition. I really have to be careful that I don't take my annoyance at my own lack of mobility out on her.
So this weekend is Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Kroeker's house. Lynsey has been talking about going there for several weeks already, and I know that we will all enjoy our time there! No Christmas in La Crete this year due to my ever approaching due date, but we will be seeing the Southern Alberta family on Sunday, which Lynsey is also quite excited about:). It will be different being around Calgary at Christmas, but the anticipation of our little guy coming makes everything worth it! I've hardly taken any pictures the last few weeks, but I figure I'll probably take enough pictures over Christmas to more than make up for it.
