Looks like I'll be ringing in the New Year in dramatic fashion

Well, I've decided to make blogging while in labour a tradition - something for my children to read one day so they can truly appreciate what I went through to bring them into this world. It started at 9:30 this morning with braxton hicks accompanied by minor discomfort. I knew right away, though - there was no fooling me. Today was going to be the day. So it's 3:30 now and the contractions keep coming - very irregular, anywhere from 5 minutes apart to 15 minutes apart, making it hard for me to know just how far along I am, but I know this is the real thing. It's amazing how the memory of what it felt like to be in labour with Lynsey is flooding back now! It helps to have that to look back on because I know for sure I'm not as far along as I was that morning when we barely made it to the hospital on time. We are really hoping for the New Year's baby, but I am just not sure if it will take that long. As long as I'm resting, the contractions are pretty bearable still, so who knows! I want the free stuff, Brian wants the January 1st birthday for the sports advantages later on in his life. Oh that was a bad one. Okay I made it. The best thing about contractions is that they go away! Gotta look on the bright side:).

Happy New Year everyone and I hope to be announcing Baby's arrival very soon!
