September is here and we are back into school routine! We enjoyed our camping trip with the Daveys to Cape Disappointment on the 23rd weekend, the beach was beautiful and we were camping just a few minutes walk from it. The kids had a great time building forts and even swimming in the not-so-warm ocean! It was nice to have one last hurrah before getting our heads back into school routine. The week before Labor Day ended up being a lot busier than I thought, lots of errands to run and meet the teacher/curriculum night on the Thursday. On Friday I took the kids to Facebook for lunch which is always fun. Labor Day weekend we ended up doing a lot of house projects, nothing too exciting. Got the garage mostly cleaned up, painted our bathroom (finally!). I enjoyed having a very low key weekend before school started on Tuesday. First day of school was seamless, Adam was perfectly happy to go back to school, his repetition has been in a downturn lately. He does sometimes have a delayed reaction to change so we might see more stress later in the month. His new teacher is a Mr. Turner and so far so good, I have a good impression of him. Fingers crossed for a good year for all of them!
We are still muddling through with the doggie, he doesn't have accidents anymore (except the one he had a few nights ago in his crate when he was scratching to get out but we didn't believe he wanted anything more than attention and he proceeded to poop in his crate - totally our bad!). He was a bit sad on the kids first day of school, the house was very quiet! He will get used to the new routine and it will all be fine:-).
