It's a miracle - he's climbing stairs!

It's become fairly obvious that Adam is trying to talk more. He now imitates a few more words regularly - when he has a dirty diaper and I tell him, "Pee-yoo you stink!" he is definitely saying "Pyoo":). It also seems like he walks to the fruit basket looking for bananas, saying "nana". "Dada" and "Mama" are hit and miss, but based on the fact that he is starting to say more things, I think it's safe to say he does call out to us sometimes.

Someone call the Guinness Book of World records - my 13 month old finally climbed a stair this weekend!!! Last week he started putting a knee up on a stair so we were hopeful, and this weekend, Brian's dad was working with him on the stairs for quite a while and he actually climbed a few on his own! He didn't really do it today - I think he climbed one stair - so I'm not anticipating a sudden acceleration in his mobility, but it's a start! He still only stands up on his own when he's climbing up on us, but we keep practicing with him, so hopefully he will become more confident in that as well. He got one half of one of his molars a few weeks ago, and it seems the other half of that one finally came through this weekend, so that was kind of exciting. One quarter of the way done the molars now! Woohoo! He continues to be as hungry as ever - he eats more breakfast than I do!! He's been waking up happier these days which is nice. He still has a lot of whiny periods throughout the day, but there haven't been any freak-outs lately. We were in Edmonton this last weekend, and it became pretty obvious that he prefers his Mommy and Daddy to hold him when he's feeling insecure. Sort of a shame because I really wanted a break from carrying him around, but what can you do! Oh - and look at how curly his hair is getting! The longer it gets, the curlier it is. It's making me wonder if he might actually have curly hair! Such a handsome boy:).

Lynsey is a clever girl! She listens to a lot of Psalty cds and other music and stories on cds, and today I heard her using a line from one of her Psalty cds and adapting it to Brian having to go to work! Not only is she quoting lines, but she understands them and knows how to change them to apply to her life and her surroundings - very interesting! She is my little sweetie:).
